Kim Battcher comes from Northbrook, Illinois, and has made Reno her home since 2001. Kim studied at the University of Southern California, where she earned her Bachelors and then continued on to receive her Juris Doctorate at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Kim and her husband, Fritz, have raised two daughters, Emma and Alex.
As the Donor Relations Manager at STEP2, Kim manages volunteers, coordinates in-kind donations and assists with fund development and event planning.
She says, “I always have had an interest in child protection and in the past served as a child protection division case manager. While in that role, I saw children removed from their homes and also was able to see parents regain custody. STEP2 allows me to see firsthand the positive outcomes achieved by the work a parent puts in to reunify with her children and to restore her family.”
