Operations Manager
Jennifer (Jen) Autry was born and raised in Anaheim, California. She moved to Reno to be closer to family and the Sierra’s which are home to her soul. She studied at the University of Nevada, Reno and received her Bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Addiction Treatment Services. She is currently a certified alcohol and drug counselor (CADC).
Jen lives in Reno, NV with her husband, Joe. She has two kids, two snakes, two dogs, and seven (yes you saw that right, 7!) cats.
As the Operations Manager at STEP2, Jen implements, communicates and supports the strategies created by the CEO and other senior executives. While their focus is on daily operations, they are also jointly responsible for compliance, grant reporting and data collection for STEP2.
Jen loves watching moms reunite with their children and complete treatment. For her, coin out days and when alumni come back to visit are her very favorite days!
She says, “Family is important to me so being a part in helping keep families together or reunite is rewarding. It has always been natural for me to help others. I find it so rewarding to be a part of helping women find recovery and become empowered.”
Jen is an avid reader and loves getting lost in a story. Her grandfather took their family camping and taught her how to fish, so she also really enjoys camping and fishing. For her, it is calming and relaxing especially when she is at her favorite lake in the mountains.
