STEP2 is a comprehensive residential and out-patient treatment program that provides women and their children suffering from chemical addiction, poverty and domestic violence the opportunity to rebuild their lives.  The result is self-sufficient healthy families.

Self sufficiency is achieved through integrated treatment services and skills training provided at STEP2 including, housing, childcare, family management, transportation, employment counseling and healthy living.

Comprehensive case management services are also provided and clients are given the opportunity to explore additional community resources to meet the ongoing needs of the family.

The organization, a private non-profit, is the only treatment program in Northern Nevada and one of the few in the country that accommodates women with young children. Since many clients are suffering from poverty in addition to chemical addiction no woman is every turned away because of her inability to pay for treatment.
